I was channel surfing this afternoon and came across Steel Magnolias - one of my favorite movies. Yes, the accents are overdone and the cliches are somewhat cheesy, but there are some classic lines, too. And no matter how many times I watch it, it always makes me cry.

I totally agree!! I stopped on that movie yesterday myself...I love the line where they tell Sally Field to "Hit Weazer.." :)
now, this may not be a direct quote, but one of my favorites is when weezer says, "i don't go to movies, because it's just a bunch of naked people! and i don't watch tv, because if it's any good, they'll make it into a mini-series! and i don't go to the theater, because i can sleep at HOME for FREE!" hahaha!! :) you're right, that movie is FULL of some great quotes. melissa & i will sometimes say, "GET OFF MY BENCH!! GET OOOOFFFFF MYYYY BEEEENCH!!!" ah. steel magnolias. one of the great ones. maybe i'll watch it soon. (yall gave me that DVD for my birthday one year!)
